You are about to join the Victorian and Tasmanian division of the largest single-model car club in the world, as recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
As a member, you will benefit from our monthly magazine with reports on Club activities, upcoming events, technical advice on your MX-5 and, more importantly, the opportunity to share your experiences with other devoted Club members who made the decision to buy what we believe is the best sports car available in Australia today.
Conditions of Membership
To be accepted as a member of the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc., you must agree to certain conditions, including agreement to abide by our Statement of Purposes and Rules (constitution) and our Code of Conduct. Full conditions are set out in our online application. Submission of your membership application and payment implies acceptance of these membership conditions.

A financial member of any other Australian Mazda MX-5 Club may request that they be provided with reciprocal membership of the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc. for a period of up to seven days at a time. Please email the Membership Officer for more information.
Notes
- The current fees for the Club’s various membership categories are effective as of 1st June 2024. These may change at the discretion of the committee.
- Renewal of your annual membership fee is due and payable in full on the anniversary of the date you joined the Club each year, you may upgrade or downgrade your membership at anytime.
- The links below allow you to complete your application online and pay by Visa or MasterCard credit/debit cards via our secure online payment system.
- No refund is provided if membership is cancelled prior to a member’s renewal date.
- It is your responsibility to advise the Club of any change of your email or mailing address.
- You can update these details online via the Members Dashboard. The Club’s email list is automatically updated when you change an email address but, if you change your mailing address and receive a printed mxtra, please alert the Membership Officer by email so the mailing list can be updated (this list is not linked to the membership database).

FULL MEMBERSHIP
Available to any natural person of at least driver’s licence holding age who is the driver and/or co-driver of a Mazda MX-5.
Full membership is required for those wishing to obtain a competition licence to take part in motorsport.
There are two levels of membership:
Full which includes a pdf copy of the Club magazine mxtra and
Full – Printed mxtra which includes a printed copy posted to you.
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
Available to two adults who are the driver and/or co-driver of a Mazda MX-5 and their dependants under 18 residing at the same address.
A Family member may participate in the events of the Club and enjoy the same rights as Full membership except for a limitation of one vote per adult; Family members under 18 are not entitled to vote.
Family members are eligible to obtain an age-appropriate competition licence to take part in motorsport and/or Club Permit registration for their Mazda MX-5.
There are two levels of membership:
Family which includes a pdf copy of the Club magazine mxtra and
Family – Printed mxtra which includes one copy per household posted to you.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Only available to any natural person for the purpose of participating in one or more Club activities annually who does not own or drive an MX-5 but has a personal interest in the Mazda MX-5 and/or the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania Inc.
An Associate member may participate in events of the Club, including the Club’s iRacing League* , may not use this category of membership for the purpose of obtaining a Motorsport Australia [formerly CAMS], AASA or other form of motorsport competition licence, may not use this category of membership for the purpose of obtaining Club Permit registration for a classic or historic Car, has no voting rights in the Club, may not serve on the Club Committee and will not receive an emailed pdf version of the Club magazine, mxtra

- An Associate membership may participate in the Club’s iRacing League, but does not receive the mxtra magazine, and may not use this category for Club Permit registration or to obtain a motorsport licence. ↩︎
