Motor Sport Team

The MX-5 is a real sports car, and motor sport is about the best way to experience your MX-5.

You don’t need to be a fast driver, or an experienced one. Just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to get the most from your car and yourself.

The Club runs an annual Motor Sport Championship of eight to 10 rounds, predominantly Sprint events (you against the clock) on some of the country’s best motor sport circuits, including Phillip Island, Winton, Sandown, and Wakefield Park. We also have the occasional hillclimb and motorkhana event, and there’s a very healthy rivalry with our friends in the Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW.

Even if you’re not that competitive, it’s a great way to improve your driving skills and to find the limits of what you and your car can do in a very safe environment … and among friends.
